Summer Art Club at WORKSHOP - July 13 - 24
Two weeks to choose from:
July 13–17 or July 20–24
A summer studio experience for youth who want to make, explore, and get their hands into real materials.
This is not a sit-still art class. It is a daily rhythm of making, experimenting, and finishing real projects inside a working studio space in Stittsville.
Each day, participants move through two guided studio sessions, creating at least two finished pieces inspired by material exploration, personal expression, and playful technique.
✨ What we make
Across the week, students will explore a wide range of hands-on processes, including:
Print making, Mixed Media Sculpture, Candle Pouring, Collage,
Soap making, Journaling and mixed media (journal included)
Painted flower pots, Recycled materials mosaic, Pressed flower compositions, Tote bag printing, Watercolour postcards, and more!
Every project is designed to be tactile, accessible, and expressive, with space for individuality within each process.
🌬 Daily rhythm in the studio
The workshop is co-led by studio artists:
Sasha Jimenez French (Birdgirl Arts) and Ginny Radke (Cup of Intention)
Each day moves through a shared structure:
12:30–2:00 — Guided workshop with Ginny
2:00–2:30 — Break, reset, and informal studio time
2:30–4:00 — Guided workshop with Sasha
This rhythm allows participants to shift between different materials, approaches, and ways of making, while staying grounded in a creative flow throughout the afternoon.
🌼 What’s included
All materials are provided, including specialty supplies for each project.
Plain + Fizzy water, juice, and snacks are included daily.
Participants will leave with a collection of finished works each day, building toward a full body of creative projects by the end of the week.
